Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
How many lines can the Water Roster control?
Simpler models can control three lines out each. As we improve our product range more lines will become available. If you would like to discuss your specific requirements Contacts Us to learn more about what we have to offer you.
What connections and fittings are required
The Water Roster is sold with 15mm BSP threads and includes adapters for clip on garden hoses. For pressure pipe fittings thread tape and fittings are reccomended.
What are the benefits of using stainless steel water lines?
Unlike standard plastic or polymer internal components that can become brittle or crack over time—especially with high-pressure fluctuations or Australian UV exposure—the WaterRoster uses stainless steel water lines throughout. This ensures maximum durability, prevents internal leaks, and provides a much longer service life for your irrigation investment.
Do I need an internet connection or a monthly subscription for the WaterRoster to work?
No. Although online apps and monitoring are avilable, one of the core philosophies of the WaterRoster is "set and forget." All your scheduling and controls can be handled directly through the 7-inch touchscreen on the unit itself. There are no mandatory apps to download, no cloud subscriptions you need to pay for, and the unit will continue to run your roster perfectly even if your local network is down.
Can the WaterRoster be used as a water tank automated irrigation system?
Absolutely. The WaterRoster is designed specifically to integrate with tank-fed setups. It can handle a wide range of pressure (from 0.3 to 10 bar), making it a perfect water tank automated irrigation system for properties relying on gravity-fed or pump-assisted water supplies. Its robust build makes it an ideal farm irrigation control system where reliability in remote locations is essential.
How does the WaterRoster compare to a standard smart irrigation controller?
Most modern options require a cloud connection where confusing apps and websites are sustituted for simple practical controls. While it functions as a high-end commercial irrigation control system, it is simple enough to use as a golf and lawn irrigation controller. By processing all data locally on its 7" touchscreen, you get the precision of a smart irrigation controller without the confusion and deplays involved in learning overly complicated systems.
